The past few months

May 29, 2012

This past weekend I have been kindly, but strongly  informed that I need to update my blog from several family members 🙂

Let me think…what has happened?

Olivia turned 2!  She is no longer my little baby, but rather my loud, adorably cute little girl that I just love to death! For the big day we took the family to the fair so she could ride the pony’s and see all of the animals.  She is officially our little princess!

We also came up to Gunlock for the Iron Man.  There was an aid station set up in front of our house so we were able to volunteer, which was pretty cool.  These people are in shape! I would probably plop over an die if I ever attempted something like that, but a family friend who was in it was telling us that the majority of women who race in these are in their mid-thirties…so I guess that gives me a few years!

Jaxon is also done with preschool! He cannot wait for kindergarten..supposedly it is “way cool”.

There have also been a bunch of other random happenings and cute pictures that I will post about later, but for now…I need to go eat some lunch 🙂

Better late than never is what I hear..

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

Funny story…I thought I posted this back in January; however, it was saved as a draft…I dedicate this post to Diana…I hope you enjoy 🙂  and yes. this still applies on May 25th!

Tonight I was going through my pictures and I came across these 2 beauties.  I am not entirely sure if I should post them because I look just so….umm..ugh..what’s the word…beautiful.

Anyway, I have no recollection of these being taken…obviously..I was out..but they made me smile tonight. Wishing you all sweet dreams!

Today is the day..

December 6, 2011

Today I have finally talked myself into updating this blog.  I have thought about it numerous times over the past few months, but couldn’t quite get the motivation to actually do it…so hooray for me today!  Unfortunatly, for those of you that read this…our Pendleton household hasn’t had anything too exciting or out of the ordinary to report..However, a few things have happened since September.

-We had Halloween!  Jaxon and Liv were Superman and Batgirl.  My parents came over for the evening. My dad and Matt took the kids trick-or-treating and they totally scored a came home with tons of king size candy bars.which Matt consumed without even offering me any! and…I have to mention the quality movie we watched after they got back…”Spookie buddies”, or something about 5 talking dogs…anyway…wow.. what you can watch all the way through for your kids.

-Jaxon started….and recently just had his final game for the t-ball season, which he loved, although he would get really disappointed if he didn’t get to the ball before the other kids.  Liv thoroughly enjoyed playing catch with herself in the outfield all season (if you call it a season for 4 year olds)?

-I got my haircut-usually not a big deal, but everyone seamed to mention it… probably due to the fact that they think I look completely different…here is a picture for those of you that are now curious. (I think I look the same)..oh-well.

-We took the boat up the river ..more like down actually with my parents.  It was quite the experience, but only because it was extremely windy, but I think it added to it! halfway down we pulled into a cove to eat lunch where we ended up getting stuck..and I (don’t know why me) ended up scaling the mountain with a rope to pull us out.  You would think my dad or even Matt would have jumped to the occasion, but never the less..I basically saved the day.

-We had a fabulous Thanksgiving at Gunlock with the whole family, which was fantastic as usual.  My aunt makes these rockin’ tasty rolls that look like they should be featured on Food Network every year, so yesterday I attempted them and I swear they never turn out like hers! They taste yummy, but isn’t half the taste of food the presentation?? 🙂

-Primary program. check. 1 year down…who knows how many to go.

-Currently just getting geared up for Christmas!

and here’s a picture of Liv because she is just oh so cute!

Forget Me Not

September 25, 2011

Last night I had the opportunity, along with many other women to hear the words of an Apostle of the Lord,  as well as other inspiring messages.  I love what  he shared with all of us and how it relates to each of us in our varying circumstances and paths in this earthly life.

Jaxon is finding his sense of style.  Who new a wristband could be so cool?

Man vs. Mud

September 25, 2011

At the beginning of the month we took the trek up to Logan, Utah with my brother and his cute family so that me and Diana could do the “Man vs. Mud” 5k.  I am not a huge runner, she is, so I wasn’t sure how it was going to go but thankfully there was lots of mud to slow her down and make her walk occasionally! the good news is, is that I made it…I know I totally sound like a pansy, but what can I say?  I have yet to find that inner desire and joy that so many of you have for running!…or maybe it is just called endurance haha…

Anyway, the whole weekend they kicked my butt!  It started the day we got there by swimming laps..which I don’t think I have ever done and was totally wearing the wrong type of swimming suit (I think I might need a speedo)…then…we ran a few miles that night, which yes, I don’t know if I should admit this but I totally ate it in an intersection..HA! It. was. awesome.  I would try to make some justifying excuse, but lets face it, I totally didn’t see the curb there…my bad! plus I have always had a depth perception problem I think especially when I first learned to drive..oops!

The next day we went to the gym and the nostalgic Cherry Hill! Then on Saturday we had the race!  It was a lot of fun and I would do it again any day!

I have decided that if I really want to get in shape I need to live by Scott and Diana..They are one turbo duo and I love it!  and Love them!

We did it!

September 25, 2011

This year us kids, me and my bother….well, actually my sister-in-law successfully talked my mom and dad into getting a beach house for a much-needed family vacation!!…(one that is, that  didn’t involve canning, mowing, digging, or sewing, although we do love doing things and thoroughly enjoy our Gunlock family get togethers as well :))

So off we went to southern California for a whole week in the middle of September!  4 words..4 words only…It. was. a. blast.

We stayed in an awesome house…quite unique actually, ate good food, celebrated 2 birthday’s , and went to the beach EVERYDAY…I even caught some waves…3 to be exact, now aren’t you impressed..because I sure was 🙂  So, thank you mom and dad for such an awesome week!

Can you belive it??

July 18, 2011

We’ve been married 7 years  I can’t believe it!  Time FLIES!!  I think this is the point where I should say, “man I’m gettting old” but I think it would be more  appropriate to say “man, I got married young!”  and I am pretty sure it was my best decision yet!  I married the man of my dreams and I get him forever!  I am such a lucky girl! I love you!
